Jodi Hoogendoorn   High school Science Teacher

I graduated from Trent University and Queen’s University in Ontario, with my Bachelor of Science (majoring in Biology and English) and my Bachelor of Education.  I began teaching in 1999, and have had the pleasure of teaching in a variety of settings. I have taught in public and private schools in Ontario and Alberta, and am most recently returning from teaching overseas at an international school in Malaysia. I will be teaching a variety of subjects at Living Waters in the coming year, focusing in on the Sciences.

I have taken some time away from teaching in the past 16 years, but just keep being drawn back!  I love working in a profession where I am encouraged to continue to grow, learning more every day. I love the fact that I get to work with unique students, and that I get to be a part of their learning process. I also love the fact that every day is just a little bit different, and every class has its own great dynamic. I appreciate that working at a Christian school gives me the opportunity to incorporate my faith into my teaching, and I have come to learn that having a Christian worldview means that our faith permeates every aspect of our lives, including our work and education.

I am looking forward to being a part of the teaching team at Living Waters and joining a great community.
