- We have 13 classrooms, a science lab, music/band room, kitchen, library, and computer lab.
- LWCA is north of the beautiful Tri-Leisure Centre which our students use regularly.
- Spruce Grove is 15 minutes from the west end of Edmonton.
The school is on 9 acres on Campsite Road between Highways 16 and 16a. We are about 4 minutes from downtown Spruce Grove and about 8 minutes from downtown Stony Plain. Some of our students walk or bike from Spruce Grove in the summer
History of Our School
School Profile
LWCA was founded in 1992 due to the prayerful vision of a group of people who saw the need for Christian education for their children. Feeling compelled by the biblical command to raise their children in the fear and nurture of the Lord, they recognized that this could not be fully accomplished until all areas of life, including the academic training of their children, were brought under the Lordship of Christ. Much planning and preparation took place before the school opened in a strip mall in Stony Plain. The school grew and was blessed with a new facility on Campsite Road in Spruce Grove in 1994. The school continues in its commitment to provide Christ-centred, Bible-based curriculum. Until students recognize that God is the centre of all things, they have not understood the Real World.
Each school day begins with staff prayer meeting and class devotions. Students are encouraged to pray for one another, lead devotions, and to share their concerns and thanksgivings. We have weekly chapel services for both the elementary and junior/senior students and once a month we have an all school chapel.
Comments arising from the visit of a delegation from Omsk, Russia.
The Russian delegates were ‘touched` by LWCA’s Christian philosophy and long-range strategy of education to train children to become caring citizens, respecting others and revering God. On many occasions during their visit to Canada they remarked about our success being directly linked to Christian values and to prayer.
