Carly Moss, Grade 3 Teacher

I am so excited to be teaching grade 3 at Living Waters this year!  I have been teaching northern Manitoba the past four years; but am originally from northern Ontario.  It seems like God has called me into the west, and I am thrilled to be here!

I have always loved working with children, and truly felt God was leading me into the field of education, despite the severe lack of jobs in Ontario.  As a young teen and early adult, I worked many weeks and summers as a Christian camp counsellor, and worked my way through university as a tutor in the classroom.  I graduated from Nipissing University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Education. Prior to this, I received my Bachelor of Arts- English at Algoma University.

After graduating teachers college, I spent a year volunteering in a classroom, getting involved in many of my churches’ youth ministries, and working part-time. As the second year without a teaching job began, God provided a job in Manitoba.

After teaching in the public school system, I recognize the importance of Christian education and involving God in every area of our lives. It truly excites me to be able to openly share and interact with my students about my faith. There is a reason God has put us here, and it’s important we look for Him in everything.

When I’m not working, I love being at home. Some of my favourite activities are cleaning, baking and reading.  I also love to walk (especially during the fall!)
